Karl has 14 years of technology based education, experience, and knowledge that provides an extensive background in computer science (B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D.), commercial experience with global communications leaders and Irish early stage ventures, and Executive MBA (completed May 2010).

 Karl currently works for National Digital Research Centre (NDRC) with responsibility for the commercial development of academic research emerging from Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, Dublin City University, Cork University Hospital and several Irish and international commercial entities.
